Team Begins 10-day Journey Down The River of Doubt

Here we go! After lugging 29 pieces of luggage through customs, an awesome morning of shooting at the world’s largest freshwater fish market and two epic days of travel, today we’re finally at the put in for the River of Doubt.

Last night, we were lucky enough to be in Cacoal for their annual celebration, so the team partied Brazil style before heading out for 10 days in the Amazon wilderness. We’re excited to get going and find some of the gigantic fish that Teddy Roosevelt first described during his exploration of this Amazon tributary in 1914.

Follow our adventure with SPOT Satelitte tracking and live tweets on our Expedition Live page. And check the EP blog for stories from the jungle! Ciao!
